Job Description

Main Responsibilities:
 
The CEO/COO will report directly to the Board of  Directors. As the head of the organisation, the  CEO/COO is expected to effectively execute the  following job responsibilities:
 
  • Develop and drive the  implementation of a sustainable  business model and growth  strategy for the organisation.
  • Ensure the organisation and its  mission, programmes, products,  and services are consistently presented in strong, positive  image to relevant stakeholders  through continuous development  of the AHCoE brand name.
  • Establish key partnerships and  maintain a good working liaison  with relevant Government agencies and institutions  pertaining to matters related to  continuous professional  development programmes.
  • Ensure effective development and  management of the organisation’s  human resources and its capabilities in designing training  that is timely, cost efficient, suitable to clients’ needs, and of high-quality standards.
  • Ensure effective management of  the organisation’s finances, taxes, and risks.
  • Increase involvement and  participation from among the  public and private hospitals and  health related institutions of higher learning in Malaysia.
​Qualification and Experience Required:
  • With relevant Bachelor and/or Post  Graduate qualifications.
  • Minimum 10 years of relevant  senior management experience in  the medical and healthcare  industry.
  • Good liaison skills and have  existing working relationship and  network with the healthcare industry and the Government.
  • Well-versed with legislative  requirements in running a  company as well as in obtaining  relevant approvals and  accreditation for continuous  professional development  programmes.
  • Proficient in strategy development,  project  management, business acumen,  and stakeholder management of  all levels.

Allied Healthcare Centre of Excellence (AHCoE) is a not-for-profit healthcare simulation and training provider incorporated in 2010 as a company limited by guarantee. The aim of AHCoE is to develop the skills and competency of healthcare professionals with the emphasis on promoting the delivery of safe and quality healthcare services in the country.

The centre has developed progressively over the years and currently occupying a five-storey building equipped with state-of-the art healthcare simulation centre which include Operating Theatre, Labour and Delivery Room, Adult & Paediatric ICU, Neonate ICU and Trauma/Emergency Room. All simulation labs, fully equipped with high fidelity patient simulators, life support medical equipment and debriefing
system to offer a new educational methodology that broaden the scope of training for interdisciplinary healthcare teams to promote professional development and competencies among healthcare professionals. The simulators provide for the evidence-based practices to put into action by mean of protocols and algorithms, which can then be practiced via immersive simulation scenarios in a realistic and safe environment, without threat of harm to patients.
