Job Description

• Implementation of safety policies, procedures and regulations to ensure compliance with prevailing Statutory Acts and Regulations.
• Ensure all work sites comply to the Workplace Safety and Health Act and subsidiary regulations.
• Provide guidance, support and advice to staff and workers on any Workplace Safety & Health (WSH) matters.
• Plan, implement, conduct and facilitate health and safety audits at PUB workplaces including construction sites.
• Conduct investigation of all WSH incidents and recommend corrective measures.
• Coordinate, monitor, track and implement the safety recommendations by Safety Committees.
• Monitor, track and analyse safety performances and to recommend safety measures where necessary.
• Conduct training and coordinate training courses relating to WSH.
• Provide secretariat support to Safety Committees when necessary.
• Prepare and review safety plans and Risk Assessments.
• Prepare and submit reports timely.
• Organise Safety and Health Campaign and other promotional activities where required.
• Any other duties assigned by the Management/Client.

• Have undergone and passed Safety & Health Officer course conducted by DOSH Malaysia;
• Registered with DOSH Malaysia as Safety and Health Officer;
• Minimum qualification: Diploma or above;
• Able to write and communicate in English fluently;
• Minimum working experience as safety officer or higher position: 3 years.
