Job Description

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
The vacancy is a key position and the officer in charge is fully responsible for the following:
 
  •  Identifying business strategies and plans for the MARA Corp group (the Group) in overseeing all operations and business and making investment decisions to advance the Group business;
  • Reviewing of financial and non-financial reports, analysing problematic situations and occurrences to devise solutions or improvements for sustainability and growth of the Group;
  • Building trust relations with key partners and stakeholders while providing leadership and motivation to subordinates within the company and subsidiaries’ management team to advance employee engagement in developing a high performing culture across the Group;
  • Maintaining a deep knowledge of the markets and industries relevant to the Group and continuously seek opportunities for strategic partnerships/business ventures;
  • Ensuring that the company's operations, financial management and financial/statutory reporting are carried out in accordance and in compliance with the requirements of prevailing laws and regulations;
  • Monitoring the financial position of subsidiaries to ensure alignment to Group’s strategy and plans.

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCES
 
  •  Malaysian and not more than 55 years old at the closing date of application; 
  • Must possess at least a Bachelor’s Degree or its equivalent;
  • Held senior leadership positions for a minimum of 12-15 years, with at least 5 years of leadership exposure in a C-suite position. Priority is given to candidates with leadership role in a GLC, GLIC, and/or MNC;
  • At least 10 years of experience in developing profitable strategies and implementing vision;
  • Able to develop teams with an entrepreneurial mindset, with outstanding organisational and leadership skills;
  • Experienced in investment, corporate finance, management and monitoring;
  • Sound knowledge of corporate governance, general management best practices and performance management principles; and
  • Possess extensive business network, innovative thinking, high integrity values and excellent communication skills.

TERMS & CONDITIONS
This is a contract-based position. Salary, allowance and other terms and conditions are subject to the consideration and approval of the Board of Directors of the company and MARA.
