Job Description

We are looking for a Pastoral Counsellor who has the skills, sensitivity and compassion to work with all of our students, who come predominantly from South East Asia. A cultural understanding of the students' backgrounds is essential for this position. Our Counsellor is a key member of our Student Support Services team, and is responsible for providing a professional and confidential counselling service to our students. Our Counsellor also offers advice and guidance to our teaching colleagues so that we support the development of our students' social, emotional and psychological wellbeing, as well as their academic achievements. Our Counsellor plays an important leadership role in promoting our core values of mutual respect, empathy and compassion.
 
Candidates should hold a Bachelor's degree in Counselling and have at least 2 years' post-qualification experience. Experience of working with children and young people is essential. Candidates should also be proficient in speaking and writing in English as well as Bahasa Malaysia.
