Located at its state of the art campus in Educity, Iskandar, and a short distance from Singapore, University of Reading Malaysia now seeks a dynamic individual to lead the organisation to the next stage of its development.
The role of Provost at the University of Reading, Malaysia is a significant academic leadership position, with responsibility for the strategic leadership and operational management of the campus. Among the key challenges will be taking the campus from the current start-up phase to its next level of growth and ambition including meeting stretching student number targets. The role reports to the Chair of the University’s company Board in Malaysia (RUMAL Reading Sdn.Bhd) who is the Pro-Vice-Chancellor (Global Engagement) at the University of Reading.
 
The successful candidate will have an outstanding personal record of academic and leadership achievement. With significant experience in transnational education, in driving quality, performance and growth, the next Provost will be widely engaged in international higher education and will demonstrate a strong entrepreneurial ethos. Resonance with the values of the University will be essential, as will an ability to work across different cultures and build effective relationships within a complex stakeholder context.
