Job Description

The Embassy of the United States in Kuala Lumpur is seeking an individual for a Training Specialist.
Under the direct supervision from the Office of Defense Cooperation Deputy Chief and witti the assistance of a Training Program Assistant, the incumbent must manage portfolios of U.S. military training programs for the Government of Malaysia (GOM) and develop and oversee implementation of policies and procedures to ensure the success of these programs. Individual is the recognized Mission expert on all U.S. military training issues. These programs are considered the foundation of the Mission's military-to-military relationship with Malaysia. They also support the Department of Defense (DOD) and Department of State (DOS) goals of promoting regional stability, combating international terrorism, and promote interoperability between Malaysian and U.S. forces.

Position Requirements:
All applicants must address each selection criterion detailed below with specific and comprehensive information supporting each item.

Education: Bachelor's degree in Education, Business Administration or Social Science is required.

Experience: Administrative/Government 5 to 7 years Progressively responsible experience in training, administration, management, or vocational administration is required, two of which must include supervisory experience.

Abilities/Skills: The ability to type with good working speed and accuracy is required. Ability to calculate budget for training Programs is required. Must have the ability to use Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point, Access and Outlook programs. Must have ability to develop, implement, and monitor strategic plans. Strong interpersonal skills necessary. Must have supervisory experience.

Language: Level IV in both written and spoken English; Level IV in Malay is also required. Will be tested.

The minimum starting salary is RM72.171 per annum.
