TalentCorp organises Career Comeback Fair to attract women back to workforce
The third Career Comeback Fair organised by TalentCorp was held recently, aiming to woo women on a career hiatus back into the workforce. The fair was made a success with the participation of almost 300 job-seeking women and more than 20 employers offering over 200 full-time and flexible job opportunities.
Welcoming women back to the workforce
Women are the cornerstone of today’s talent pool. However, at some point in many a woman’s lives will come a time when they face a conundrum, having to choose between their career and family.
Career or motherhood? Have it both
Many women leave the workforce in their late 20s to mid 30s to take care of their growing families, aging parents or sick family members. In Malaysia, the drop off rate of women from the workforce can be seen as a form of brain drain; as at 2014, while 70% of our university graduates are women, they make up only 53.6% of the entire Malaysian labour force*.
Women are lovin’ it at McDonald’s
McDonald’s Malaysia was recently recognised for its commitment to the recruitment, retention and progression of its female talent as it received the Aon Hewitt 2015 Best Employer special recognition award for diversity and inclusion (women).
Women leaders represented
The 30% Club movement, which began in the UK to induct women leaders into the upper echelons of corporate service, has reached our shores.
