Conservation Medicine is seeking a self-motivated Programme Assistant to ensure the smooth running of projects researching zoonotic diseases and supporting capacity building for laboratory and field biosafety. The position is a 1-year renewable contract based at our office in Sungai Buloh, Selangor.
The successful candidate will be responsible for planning local and regional training; report-writing; conducting administrative tasks, providing summaries of papers, and conducting literature reviews; organising meetings, taking minutes, coordinating travel; assisting project coordination through regular communications with local and international partners; support grant writing and submissions; and coordinating data entry and data management.
QUALIFICATIONS - BA, BS, or Master’s degree in Biological Sciences, Public Health, or a related field with some experience working on biological science research or policy projects. The successful candidate will be highly organised with a good sense of team spirit and diplomacy, experienced in managing confidential information and have excellent written and verbal communication skills. The post holder must be familiar with Microsoft Office, EndNote, cloud systems and QGIS, and be fluent in English and Malay. An understanding of life sciences and emerging diseases is a plus.
This position is only open to Malaysian citizens. Some travel may be required.
MONTHLY SALARY AND ALLOWANCES (INCLUDING SOCSO AND EPF) - RM4000–6500 depending on experience.
