Job Description

QUALIFICATIONS - Veterinary Medicine degree with wild animal handling, fieldwork, and laboratory experience; preferably with primates, bats or rodents, will be able to lift 20kg and trek up to 10km in the forest. Open to Malaysians fluent in Malay and English who are self-driven, motivated to learn new skills, and comfortable with public speaking, have a strong sense of team spirit, cultural sensitivity and excellent communication skills.
MONTHLY SALARY (including SOCSO & EPF) -RM4000.00 - RM 5500.00 depending on experience.

EcoHealth Alliance (EHA) is seeking Wildlife Ranger to join our Malaysian team. The position is a 1-year renewable contract with EHA, based full-time in Kota Kinabalu or Kuala Lumpur. The successful candidate will work all over Sabah and Peninsular Malaysia with sampling trips in remote and challenging locations. All field expenses will be covered.

The successful candidates will join our team for non- destructive sampling trips of free-ranging wildlife and domestic animals for disease diagnostics and novel pathogen screening. They will be supervised by Field Manager and will work closely with both Sabah Wildlife Department and PERHILITAN.
